We are committed to operating with complete transparency regarding the collection, storage, and processing of your personal and business data. This Privacy Policy describes how Seopod collects, uses, protects, and handles information when you access our website, authenticate using Google OAuth, connect your web properties, or utilize any of our SEO intelligence services.
By creating an account, connecting a website property, or accessing Seopod, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use Seopod or authorize access to your web properties.
2. Data We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to provide, maintain, and optimize our organic search analytics platform. Data collected falls into the following distinct categories:
When you authenticate via Google OAuth, we receive your email address, full name, and Google profile avatar image URL to create and manage your secure user workspace.
Domain names, sitemap URLs, website hierarchy, internal page paths, and CMS endpoints that you explicitly configure or verify within your Seopod projects.
Read-only performance metrics accessed via authorized OAuth tokens: search impressions, clicks, click-through rates (CTR), average SERP positions, queries, and landing page URLs.
Product telemetry including feature interactions, tool executions, credit ledger transactions, API latency, and technical diagnostic logs via privacy-focused analytics.
We do not collect sensitive personal data such as financial account numbers, government identifiers, biometric data, or health records.
3. How We Use Information
We process the collected data strictly to deliver user-requested features and operate the Seopod platform. Specific uses include:
- Computing SEO Intelligence: Generating query-to-page opportunity matrices, detecting keyword cannibalization, calculating striking-distance ranking opportunities, and evaluating on-page technical health.
- Semantic Internal Linking: Analyzing website topic structures and crawl graphs to recommend high-impact internal link placements and semantic relationships.
- Credit Ledger & Billing Management: Managing platform subscription credits, calculating 1:1 credit usage for SERP and crawl operations, and maintaining transparent usage audit trails.
- Workspace Maintenance & Security: Ensuring authenticated access, detecting suspicious or unauthorized activity, and diagnosing technical issues.
- Essential Communications: Sending service notifications, security alerts, and transactional account updates. We do not send unsolicited marketing emails.
4. Google API Limited Use Disclosure
Seopod integrates with Google Search Console via Google OAuth to provide performance intelligence and search query analytics for your verified web properties.
Seopod's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- No Data Brokering or Advertising: We NEVER sell your personal data, website metrics, or Google Search Console telemetry to third parties, data brokers, advertising networks, or marketing agencies.
- No AI Model Training: We NEVER use Google Search Console data or user content to train, retrain, fine-tune, or benchmark generalized artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) models.
- Purpose-Bound Utilization: Search Console data is accessed exclusively to generate user-facing SEO reporting, ranking dashboards, and optimization recommendations requested by the authenticated account holder.
- Restricted Human Access: No Seopod personnel inspect your raw Google Search Console data, except: (a) upon your explicit written authorization to resolve a support ticket, (b) where strictly necessary for security incident forensics, or (c) where required by applicable legal process.
When authorizing Seopod with your Google Account, we request only read-only permissions (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/webmasters.readonly). We cannot modify, delete, or alter any properties or settings within your Google Search Console account.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
To deliver deep search engine index data and maintain cloud infrastructure, Seopod collaborates with select third-party service providers bound by strict confidentiality and data protection agreements:
Provides live search engine results (SERP) scraping, keyword search volumes, and backlink indices. We submit only user-queried keywords and target domain names. We never share user identities, email addresses, or Google OAuth credentials with DataForSEO.
Provides privacy-respecting product telemetry and error tracking to help us monitor platform performance and reliability. Session recording excludes sensitive keystrokes and authentication credentials.
Handles subscription payments and credit purchases over PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure. Payment card numbers, CVVs, and billing addresses are processed directly by our payment processor and are never stored on Seopod servers.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data only for as long as your workspace account remains active or as required to fulfill the legitimate business purposes outlined in this policy.
Disconnecting Google Search Console
You can disconnect Google Search Console from your Seopod workspace at any time via your workspace settings, or by revoking access directly in your Google Account Security Permissions. Once disconnected, Seopod immediately revokes and deletes the stored OAuth access tokens and ceases all background data synchronization.
Account Deletion & Data Erasure
You have the right to request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated project data, crawl history, rank logs, and account records. To exercise this right, contact our privacy team at support@seopod.net. All requested records are permanently erased from our production databases within thirty (30) days of verification.
7. Data Security Safeguards
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security controls to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction:
- Encryption in Transit: All HTTP communications with Seopod endpoints are strictly encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3).
- Encryption at Rest: Database records, encrypted OAuth refresh tokens, and system backups are secured using AES-256 encryption.
- Scoped API Access: OAuth credentials and access tokens are isolated in dedicated vault storage, accessed solely by authenticated worker jobs on an ephemeral, least-privilege basis.
- Infrastructure Hardening: Firewalls, automated vulnerability scanning, rate limiting, and zero-trust internal network architectures protect against brute-force and scraping vectors.
8. Children's Privacy
Seopod is a business-to-business SEO productivity tool designed exclusively for commercial professionals and individuals aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly solicit, collect, or process information from children under 18 years of age. If we discover that an individual under 18 has registered an account, we will take immediate steps to delete the account and associated records.
